I think we would both agree that the fighting in the Pacific was vicious, and that 13 or 22 percent of Americans would answer this way in response to a poll is in no way surprising or indicative of our national character or will.

highly unlikely that is supported by the government. They're the ones that cut her sentence to 15 days in an attempt to appease both sides.

There is a difference between "sympathetic" (belief) and "supported" (overt). You can be sure that one of the most savage and corrupt governments in the world is sympathetic, or their non-support would have been quite visible by now.

There seem to be a lot of people in this forum who believe that if we just leave the Muslim world alone they'll stop attacking us. But do you really expect people who are willing to kill someone for merely naming a teddy bear Mohammad are going to just leave us alone? Of course not. These people are completely irrational and are bent on destroying Western civilization as we know it.

If you went out and fought everybody that WANTED to hurt you would be dead. Please factor in the chances that they atually are able to do anything to you.

There are millions of people in jail that would rob you or hurt you IF THEY COULD, are you going to fight all of them as well?
