I believe he is doing this because he wants to improve his game. One of the best ways nowadays is to multi-table online. He probably realizes that online players are much better than the majority of live players, and more than likely have a better understanding of the game.

Im a losing player regardless, but I tend to stay away from multitabling anyway cuz i seem to have better results at 1,maybe 2 tables at a time. What does multitabling do that makes it better than focusing on a single table?

Multitabling means you can get over a hundred MTTs in during a night wheras playing a couple at once means you will get way less.

Your ROI might be better playing less tables, but your $/hr will be way lower.
