Spread NL 4-40?
Some WA casinos have begun spreading a spread NL 4-40 game with no maximum buyin. Blinds are 1-2. How would this game differ from a standard 1-2 NL game?
I have thought of this so far... 1. No real value betting on the river due to the $40 limit. Therefor, implied odds hands are weakened. 2. Even protecting your hand in a raised multiway pot is hard on the turn. 3. Limping in with a small pp and getting raised oop is a big problem because you will have a hard time getting 10x the raise out of him. 4. You have QQ and raise to $10 from MP. Villian on the button raises to $40. It's folded to you, $30 to call in a pot of about $50. Villian would only do this with KK or AA. If you call, pot's $80 and you can only win another $120 on FTR. You have to fold if you are right about your read on the Villian? What else would you add AND am I wrong about anything above? psw |
