Default Investing 101 for trout idea

I think it would be great if you could add a question like:

"So I want to get started in learning all about the stock market. What books are essential to have?"

I've been doing some searching through the forums and I found these books recommended...

Intelligent Investor, by Ben Graham
One up on Wall Street by Peter Lynch
How to Read a Financial Report : Wringing Vital Signs Out of the Numbers by John Tracy
Common Stocks and UnCommon Profits
A Random Walk Down Wall Street by Burton G. Malkiel
Investing for Dummies

Maybe a short description or value rating would be awesome. Just an idea... thanks

You did see the sticky with the title "Reading List" right?
This is it here

In my opinion it's a bit scattered. I'd love to see a new list made, something a bit more concise.

the most important thing is to have a proper understanding of risk, most people don't. look up "superinvestors of graham and doddsville", it should give you a primer.
