Default Big draw..... Big stacks

Heres an interesting hand from a while ago, villain is tigerSRM (2+2er) he runs at 19/14/2.7 over a large sample. i cant get my notes on him atm (probably wouldn't post them anyway) he is a solid tag and rarely get out of line.

preflop is what ever, i would usually mix it up between calling and 3betting a CO/btn open, but it is an UTG raise so i elect just to call.

Pacific Poker
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $0.5/$1
6 players
Converter

Stack sizes:
UTG: $266.15
UTG+1: $35
CO: $426.12
Button: $193.45
SB: $76.3
Bubaloo: $241.96

Pre-flop: (6 players) Bubaloo is BB with J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
UTG raises to $5, 4 folds, Bubaloo calls.

Flop: A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] ($10.5, 2 players)
Bubaloo....?

edit: i think my image is slightly lag and he's seen me get out of line a couple of times in the past.

why call preflop? I would only call here if i had position on the guy. I only call this when the guy is a donkey. As played i would check raise flop.

yeah like a 19/14 is really gonna pay you off big... I mean only if he has like AA here and your Q comes. If its a donkey i understand because those guys stack off light even if its 200BB deep but not this guy.

Regardless, preflop your oop versus UTG raiser with a drawing hand. Fold preflop.

As played lead the pot and call a raise. Re-evaluate the turn. If you hit, your hand should be disguised.

In these spots I'm not always keen on getting heavy with the betting with AK out there deep. Less FE in my opinion versus UTG's range.

yeah i think getting it in on the flop is a bad idea as we are dominated most of hte time if he starts raising.

pf is awful. 3-bet or fold.
bet/3-bet flop.

wouldnt a bet/3-bet be awkward given the stack sizes?

edit: also i kinda agree w/ 3betting pf, especially w/ these stacks. but im wondering what people cold-calling ranges are from the blinds. it seems like ppl only cold-call w/ low PP's and this in itself is very eploitable.

Playing drawing hands OOP isn't generally a great idea because it's hard to get paid off. I'm also not comfortable committing 240bb's with a draw on the flop just trying to push someone off their hand. If you get it in on this flop you are far behind.
