speaker feedback

I've got a HP laptop with Altect Lansing speakers plugged into it. I got the speakers this summer and noticed some feedback immidiately when going from page to page but if music was on it wasn't noticeable. Now the feedback seems to be getting worse and when I go from page to page it is very notice about even with loud music playing. Is there anything I can do about this? New speakers?
