I don't know how much stock I'd put into CFT.com, since its a new spawn off of PFT, but they are saying there is rumblings of Spurrier to LSU, has anyone heard similar talk?
It makes sense, especially with Pellini going to Nebraska most likely, and the problems Spurrier had with the academics/administration at SC. http://www.collegefootballtalk.com/rumormill.htm

I think he'd be a big improvement over Miles over the next 5 years, but I'm not sure LSU wants to go looking for a coach again in a few years when Spurrier retires.

ESPN Link [/ QUOTE ] Only a slight raise over the $1 million he makes a year, and his contract now extended to five years. Seems pretty standard stuff if you're not going to fire him. It's merely a token vote of confidence to shut people up and calm the recruits. It reminds me of the extension Mike Shula got before his final year. Wanny is firmly on the hot seat next year.
