Re: raising a c-bet with underpair 50nl
To answer your question, no, I really don't think this is too good of a flop to try this on. Because when he calls, where are you at? Does he have a draw, does he have TPTK, a set, 2 pair, overs with a gutshot? It's near impossible to tell, choose a more dry board to bluff on, since when you get called, equity wise against his entire range you are very behind.

Re: raising a c-bet with underpair 50nl
don't like it here... J72 board would be much better... alot of players won't cbet these types of flops w/ AK, AQ

Re: raising a c-bet with underpair 50nl
This is pretty terrible flop to do it on imo as you could have a draw a lot. If your going to bluff I much rather call and start getting interested in some card that completes a draw

Re: raising a c-bet with underpair 50nl
In a vaccume I think this is ok 18/18 is prob rasing alot of trash on the BTN here so its not like he has to have a hand here though this is genrally not a great board to try this on cause BTN prob has some sort of draw worth calling
how often do you 3bet pre here? |

Re: raising a c-bet with underpair 50nl
Well reraising preflop will take it down ALOT, due to him holding such weak holdings.
Also implied odds suck due to this reason, so set value is reduced dramatically. As for board texture, its not bad. QT and Jx get there but if he hasnt got XX spades, Plus JT isnt to happy to be C/red ever. The other problem associated with this drawy board would be if he puts you on a combo draw and decides to felt TPGK or has one himself. Dry boards are great for it, since very little hits and villan can realise that. But its not a terrible move IMO, but i just think the $$ form these are overated. It doesnt help your image much since you rarely want to show it down and you win a small pot whilst risking your stack. |
