Default rebuy bankroll requirements?

I'm interested in playing the Stars $3r, $5r, and $10r. I couldn't find anything about these as far as bankroll management goes; assume I will not be using the maniac rebuy strategy, whats the deal?

Thanks guys,
Steve

dont play if you cant do the maniac strategy, it is hugely +EV.

having said that for the 10r depending on your normal game i wouldnt go in with less than 2k.

This may be conservative, but I think something like 300-500 times buy-in would be reasonable.

Well lets say I will be using it, how much then? I'm all about +EV. I had a whole chapter on it in my Secret System!

The same % of the field makes money so I would keep the 50-100 Buy-in rule.

Estimate the cost of the MTT + rebuys + add-on so maybe $50 for the $10R, therefore $2,500 - $5,000.

You don't have to maniac, its still a great tournament even if you play somewhat tight. You need to budget at least 7 buyins per tourney though. So treat the 10r like a 70$ tournament when computing your bankroll requirement. Some nights you will only spend 30 and some nights it might go up to $150. I think my average for the 10r is about 120$ a tourney, but I play very loose and gamble it up.

Id say like 5k. when I played i pretty much rebuyed until i had 12-15k then played more ABC poker until the break.sometimes you get a [censored] table who doesnt want to gamble, in that case you're screwed.

id suggest playing the 3r for a while until you get the hang of how they play.

If you want to be a true maniac, you need to budget about 15x buyin for the tourny and be prepared to spend up to 30x on a single tourny. This can be hard to stomach. I'd get some experience in the tourny first and play somewhat tighter.
