Re: standard AA laydown?
the problem with folding is that a) yeah, the board is super drawy and you can never really discount a flush draw or even an oesd and b) he probably takes this line with AK/KQ

call flop
A 19/12/0.8 has a set like 90% of the time here |

Re: standard AA laydown?
There is no way I am folding AA on that board for 1 stack ever. Villains range includes AK, possibly KQ, high-mid pocket pairs, and flush draws as well as the sets you've convinced yourself he has. You just can't fold such a strong hand on this flop.

Re: standard AA laydown?
I think your line is ok vs a nit player. You can discard some flush draws because you have the Ace of clubs. This is a set most of the time here. Him saying he had a flush draw makes me think he had a set even more.
edit: if the pot were heads up, I would not fold this. but his 3-way donk bet shows too much strength imo. |

Re: standard AA laydown?
In general a line that puts 1/3 of your stack in with an overpair on the flop and then folds is bad. So either call the flop lead or call the shove, in this case call the lead.

Re: standard AA laydown?
num of hands are quite important. Low number => shove, big sample size => fold

Re: standard AA laydown?
tough situation. bump Warteen. I vote to call this. I'll embrace variance here and make him show me. If he set up, good for him. else, good for us. Anyone know the odds of flopping a set given PP? I think it's like 17:1.
I see this as he likes flipping as a slight dog for all of it. |
