Final Pot: T34215

I considered just calling his flop raise but really believed I was ahead. I couldn't put him on a set of 5s or 6s because I had 56, and I'm sure he would have raised KK. I thought that if I called, the next card could be scary, i.e. something that could kill my 2-pair or make me question if I was still ahead (T,J,Q,K). So I pushed my remaining 80xBB.

Even though it turned out I was ~73% to win, was it rather foolish as there was a slight chance I was dominated? Or is this what you have to do to win tournaments?

I would not push this. I'll share some thoughts however Im not very good at doing this.

1) all in poker PF is ugly, and unecessary if you play well postflop.

2) While your a 70% favorite in this hand given his range, you have to account for buyin fee's. Making it 60/40. Why flip coins?

3) Sure, sometimes you have to flip coins when short/medium stacked, this is the disadvantage of playing online poker, low starting stacks and 15 min blinds.

4) Play your opponent, make him bet when he should fold, make him accept terrible odds to draw to however many outs you think he has, play the player. There have been many situations where I could of pushed PF with say QQ and instead I just flat called a player who probably either had AK or a lower PP (if they have KK or AA, thats poker) I'll try to get my opponent interested in the pot. Some players you cant do this to, most you can. He raised and you called, he has impetus and wants the pot, let him think he can bluff you out of it. You'll end up taking a nice pot or stacking him without going all in PF.

Given that, i dont know the exact situation you are in, if you think you have them dominated I would probably push, if you think they'd call with a low PP id probably push. All depends on the situation, player, table dynamics, image, etc..

Lethal:

Just to be clear. If you have KK and are second chipleader, and the chipleader pushes into you w/ AK..you fold?

Yeah you want to be all in there every time. Maybe even if you each had 5000 BB and the Fate of The Known Universe in your stacks.
Christ, your opponent is bad for calling a 3-bet with TPNK.

Thats the kind of situation I pray for, no way im folding.. with a lower PP I might call and see a flop though. depends how tricky my opponent is.
