I don't see SA coming back against Denver, who I think wins in 5.

This comment is as weird as Clarkmeister picking the Spurs to beat the Suns in five. I don't know if you guys are posting for shock value or what but both predictions are way off.

Hollinger had a good point about Toronto today. I tuned into that game in the second half and was surprised by Bosh's paltry numbers, and then further surprised by the fact he had only logged 10 frickin' minutes. He only had 2 fouls. That's being wayyyyy too cautious.

I blame Eva Longoria, she aged them all ten years.

The Mavs have lost 6 in a row to the Warriors.

[/ QUOTE ]

And only 3 of them are actually relevant.

Edit: I just want to say that I was saying the same things last year about the Mavs and the Heat - Mavs absolutely destroyed the Heat last regular season and it didn't amount to anything.

[/ QUOTE ]

Well still, The Mavs have rolled just about everyone the last 2 years e/c the Warriors. I never said that the Warriors were going to roll the Mavs, just that the Mavs have struggled for the most part against the Warriors with Baron Davis in the lineup. It also doesn't hurt that Nellie is the coach of the Warriors and has atleast some insight into Avery and the Mavs.

As Barkley said last night, why are the Mavs adjusting to the Warriors. The Mavs should make the Warriors adjust. THe Mavs found a way this year to win 67 games, they shouldn't have to adjust to the Warriors.

I think most of you are missing what really happened in the game and are looking at what happened in the regular season which isn't what happened last night.

[/ QUOTE ]

That was the weird part about it. I never thought in a zillion years that the Warrs could win that type of game against the Mavs.

The Spurs game was 100% SA and nothing else. SA got any shot they wanted the entire game; they just happened to miss 98% of them. Melo and AI were both on fire on the offensive end, but other than Nene's rebounding, nobody else did much of anything. The fact that the Spurs shot about as bad as is possible for them, and yet it was a game that was close the entire way, bodes well for the rest of the series.

I'm mad that I missed the GS/DAL game last night. I was out and forgot to record it, so I'm pretty in the dark in terms of what happened there.

God, the Lakers are bad. Kobe can keep them in any game at times, but their pitiful guard defense was completely shredded by Barbosa in the 2nd half, and Kobe can't keep making turnaround jumpers over double and triple teams forever.

Overall, my impression so far is that nobody, outside of maybe CHI, really looks any good. I'm curious to see if the true power structure begins to emerge in game 2.

I really don't like this logic, they didn't win 67games against the Warriors, in fact, they won 0 against the warriors. Apparently AJ thinks (and he's not the only one) that he's previous line up doesn't match up well against the warriors.

Diop and Dampier out-rebounded George despite playing half as minutes.

No, they're not gonna stop Baron Davis from hitting a 30 foot 3, but I don't think anyone is going to, really.

DAL: +8 w/ Diop on the floor, -20 when he was sitting.

That can't be right. It means they won by 12.
