Default Should I buy out of this NFL bet that I made?

A buddy and I (Lions fan....oh how he has been tortured over the years) bet on who would have a better record between the Redskins and Lions. He is winning the bet thus far b/c Detroit is 5-2 while Washington is 4-3. A fairly large amount of money is involved but he is letting me buy out for half price. His offer is good till 1pm Sunday.

The teams' remaining schedules:

Redskins
@ Jets
Eagles
@ Cowboys
@ Bucs
Bills
Bears
@ Giants
@ Vikings
Cowboys

Lions
Broncos
@ Cardinals
Giants
Packers
@ Vikings
Cowboys
@ Chargers
Chiefs
@ Packers

Thanks very much.

You'd be a fool to buyout.

What happens if Washington also wins 10 games and they tie? Are there tiebreakers, or do you push the bet?

I can see both these teams easily going 9-7. At worst you push here. Don't buyout.

P.S. The Lions might lose their last 4 games and win a wild card in the NFC.

Of course not. Do you really think you're less than 25% to win?

Don't buyout. You're still in decent shape with the remaining schedules.

We would push if the teams end w/ the same record.

Mean wins on FO are:
Redskins: 8.3
Lions: 8.5

Buyout = bad.
