Withdraw the money, fold it half, put a rubber band around it, stick it in your front pocket.

No offense, but was my original post hard to comprehend?

It's like people are replying to the wrong thread....

1. Maybe they were confused as to why an idiot would bank with a place that doesnt have any banks in their home state

OR

2. They were confused that the same person would also not check to see if one was in Vegas.

Either way, it is obvious that they are all idiots.

BofA has a branch on east Sahara, Paradise Valley branch, I always call a day ahead if I wanna withdraw $2000+.

Not that $2k is a problem or anything, just one time I went there and they paid me out in 20's, total PITA !!

[/ QUOTE ]

Awesome, thanks for the info. I find it kind of shocking that they'd be doling out 20s.... but then again, it's BofA, and they suck horse nuts!!!

Just ask for hundos.

Oh and to this point, I didn't stop to think that BofA, while ubiquitous in the East, but absent in Colorado, might have branches in Nevada. You've got me there, hence my "Doh." several posts above. ^^^

Just call one of the B A's in advance and specify you would like hundreds, that way they will have plenty on hand. My bank is mnot in the city I live either but I always call a branch in the city where I am going to need money so it won't be a complete shock. Pretty simple really.

Does anyone know what the general ATM limits are in Vegas?

[/ QUOTE ]

ATM $$ limits are set by your bank, not the ATM, I would just up your $/day limit to $2-3k and get your $5k over two days time, should be simple enough (I also use banks without branches in my state and feel your same pain but love the benefits too much)

FYP

Seriously? As recently as 1.5 weeks ago I walked into the BoA by UNLV and withdrew low 5 figures and they had all the cash on hand...I have never ever once had a problem with BoA not having enough cash on hand to handle my withdrawals...I love banking with them.....just ask your taxi driver to stop by BoA on the way to your hotel and get the cash...simplest solution...if you are flying in after normal banking hours I would say wire it, but I have always had to visit a branch to do that..

Correct...Bank of America has a stone cold max of $2,500 a day for ATMs...trust me..I have tried everything possible and they won't raise it above that...

Easiest solution: wire the money to me, and I'll hand it to you in vegas
