if they paid me enough, I could dramatically improve their results in a week with a few easy implementable tweaks.

since each bot only plays 1 table (NL200),
3BB/100= $12/100

so for full-ring nl200, each bot makes $8 per table hour.

is it worth to open a sweatshop since the bot owner(s) seem to be a competent player?

First off, I want to apologize for the delay in responding. I probably should have popped in right away yesterday to mention that we were well aware of the issue. That's pretty much what I'm doing now. This kind of issue isn't anywhere near my area of expertise, and for that reason, Sean from Support should be giving some more detail from his point of view before the end of day today.

Obviously for security reasons, I can't say much about our bot policies and detection methods. I can, however, say that we treat these issues very seriously and review our policies often. In fact, we had a meeting today involving all of our top decision makers in response to this case to re-evaluate these procedures. I also want to thank Trebek for his vigilance, and to nation, Brandon, and nlnut for telling their stories as well. It's been a very interesting thread and debate.

Whether what they have done is against the T&C of FT is really not important anymore. I think what they are doing SHOULD be or become "illegal" and unacceptable.

I get the feeling that what they have done will not be allowed when all is said and done. FTP has too much to lose to allow something that has the appearance of BOT/Sweatshop play to continue.

I am seeing alot of people at other forums (regular gambling forums) who are already swearing off FTP based on this incident.

Hi have verified through my sources in Pittsburgh that it is not bots. There is 6-8 players in a room. They are paid 8$ per hour or at least thats what it was one year ago.

hey guys. What if there were 3 players and 3 accounts. and on day 1 player a was paired with account a, b with b, and c with c. On day 2, a played on account b, b on c and c on a. day 3 player a played on account c, b on a and c on b. even if player a was a LAG and player b was a TAG, and player c was a LP, all 3 accounts would look the same after 100k hands. Yes or no.

It makes sense for them to converge. However, I don't see why anybody would do that.

Did you read my post? One of the computers has a superior chair!! J/K

But seriously, if they are sharing wins/losses/rakeback to reduce variance/even profits, and playing the same style/same hours - why would it matter which account they are actually logged in on?
