Default Going to Chicago for 1 week - Suggestions?

I'm going to stop by for a class from the 29th-2nd.
Any suggestions on what to do, see, etc?
What kind of weather should I expect?
Need help!!! (I've been once prior for 1 weekend, so it doesn't really count)

Eat at Alinea. This is absolutely the most (only?) important thing to do in Chicago.

I was just there. Charlie Trotter was excellent and two places with deep dish pizza (Gino's East and Lou Malnati's) were mediocre IMO. Art Institute was very good.

Giordanos is my fav, I agree with you on teh other ones being mediocre, ecspecially lou malnati's. One of the first times I went up there, I asked a bartender where to get some deep dish, and he said lou malnati's, but he said it funny, and I walked 3 blocks looking for Illuminati's.

Giordanos pizza

The Burghoff - cheap food and cheap beer. Steal a beer glass.

Visit the state of illinois building for some wild architecture.
