This appears to be the complete hand history for a single tournament. Many of the other allegations relate to cash games hands. The complete hand history for POTRIPPER should be interesting. Presumably, we'll see many instances where he almost always bets/raises on the river if he is ahead, and folds to a bet if he's behind.

About how many hands did POTRIPPER play in that tournament anyways?

I whipped this up so you guys have an idea of what is being dealt with.

Here is a screenshot of the database, after being sorted by table # (column A) and hh # (column B, called "Stage No."):

Column C is the date/time, D is chips won/lost in the hand, E and F are starting stacak/ending stack, not sure what exactly G is, and H is the hand history output.

As you can see, there's no way to sort and get the hand history in the correct order automatically. So the hh in the example screenshot looks like this:

.... cut long hand ....

Boring hand, but I just wanted to give you guys an example.

I can help if you guys want. I am working on my PhD in CS and the best way to solve this is using a script and I can write it easily. You don't have to give me all the hands, if you want to keep it private from me. PM me the details. I think you guys should post in software forum as well. There are quite capable programmers out there, who can solve this quickly.

sneak preview: absolute [censored] up and sent out the master HH of *every hand played* in the Potripper tourney

[/ QUOTE ]

Suuuuuuuite.

Hope the majority of those hands can be massaged into a replayer, so we can see what it feels like to be Potripper playing in a tournament.

btw, this seems like pretty solid evidence to me that Absolute were not complicit in the cheating. I know they're incompetent but surely not so incompetent they'd send out a complete record of a shill cheating.

In the week following the story break on absolute there wasn't any noticeable difference in traffic.

[/ QUOTE ]

I don't think this surprises anyone, and it's why we can't give up.

[/ QUOTE ]

I was telling my girlfriend about this story, and she could not believe that this hadn't crossed over into the newspapers. Although honestly, I'd hate for it to hit the mainstream and have every casino donkey railing on and on (even more) about the riggedness of online poker.

[/ QUOTE ]

But think about it. Isn't she right? If this can happen on 4th or 5th whatsoever biggest poker site what will stop it from happening anywhere? So is online poker rigged ...?

We need to move on with this case, otherwise no excuse for the damage. At the same time, for sure you cannot ignore the case as otherwise thre will be no stop for a site (e.g. another one) to do it too, or don't care as much as they should whatever.

My feeling is that the current situation is far away from good ... on one hand we have "online poker is rigged" on the other hand "site(s) took no lesson". so it's the worse of both !?

Everyone - I've seen stories in the mainstream media before about how the sites won't let the poor online-gamblers win.
They don't understand it and don't know that this is a story because so many people are already afraid of it being rigged in the first place.

From their perspective, this is not any different than any of the other incorrect stories I've seen in mainstream media about gambling on the internet.

it really doesn't matter whether Absolute were criminally culpable, or just criminally reckless

I don't think that's the case at all.

They are clearly kind of dumb in some areas and flat-out disorganized.

So some dumb C/S sends out all the HH's and doesn't even know he did that.
He has no idea that some hypothetical profit-cheating-machine was taking place in this tourney by his very own company.

The cheating parties at the company have no idea they have to be on the lookout for dumb C/S's because they obviously aren't supposed to be sending out such stuff in the first place.

Note - I don't think it likely that AP set this up on purpose although I guess it's possible because the whole thing is just so weird.

But I also don't think that the accidental publication of all the HH's to some random player does anything to prove that it didn't happen.
The dumb C/S who did this would not have known about any behind-the-scenes cheating in the first place.
