$25NL: TT from EP - Postflop Ridiculousness
Howdy! I'd been mostly an SNG player up until a couple of weeks ago. Trying my hand at some NL cash. This hand kind of got me puzzled.
1) Limp this from EP or raise? I've been limping everything up to and including JJ, almost w/o exception. 2) Raise the flop and then shut down? Folding to the C-Bet feels uberweak as he could certainly be on two overs at this point. Had only been at the table for about an orbit, so no reads of value. Thanks in advance for any feedback! Re: $25NL: TT from EP - Postflop Ridiculousness
Perhaps put a raise out on the flop to see where you stand. If it's a cbet with highcards, he'll most likely fold. If he calls or raises, you are most likely beat. If he calls the raise, you will almost certainly get a free card on the turn if you decide to check 'er down...and a cheap river too.

Re: $25NL: TT from EP - Postflop Ridiculousness
I prefer a raise pf, you want to thin the field w/a hand like this b/c there are just so many bad flops for your hand. More than 50% of the time an overcard will come on the flop and it will be much easier to play if you take control pf
Flop: I will generall make a sizeable raise here, between $10 and $13. Same thinking as pf. You have a good hand, many bad cards can hit on the turn that make life tough. You likely have the best hand so make villain pay to draw Turn: same thinking, bigger raise b/c the pot is bigger, its unlikely the 3h helped him so go ahead and raise like you have the best hand River: Same. Pots is 18 here and villain is making a small, I'm scared bet. Make a $5 raise to 8 and see how he reacts. You have the best hand, you can get villain to call a bigger bet and you can extract more $$ |
