Default Do you ask yourself why they folded? $60 challenge...

We hardly ever see hands posted where Hero takes an aggressive line with a made hand and caused villian(s) to fold before the river. It's easy to ignore these types of hands because

a) We won the hand.
b) The hand didn't go to showdown.
c) Playing aggressive with good hands is hardwired in a TAG's brain.

However, anytime our opponent does something opposite of what we wanted we need to analyze the situation and ask ourselves if there was a better line. Sometimes a more passive line might have earned us more money.

EXAMPLE :

I raise AA from CO. Only the BB calls. Flop is K84r.

BB checkraises me and I 3-bet the flop. He folds.

$60 CHALLENGE

Post a hand where villian played back at your aggression* and then folded before the river to your subsequent aggression.

* This can mean he donked you, checkraised, raised your lead, 3-bet your raise and then folded on the same street after you re-popped him.

I will give poster of the top 3 hands (only 1 winner per poster) $20 each. It's my money so it's my vote. No crying. Also, at least 10 people must post a hand or I'm not giving away my precious money.

My criteria:

- Hands that spur the best discussion are favored.
- Hands where a passive approach was superior are favored.
- Common situations preferred.
- Hand must be posted before September 3rd.
- Money is transferred via Poker Stars
- MilesDyson not eligible because he is a 2+2 hater.

Good post!

I was actually planning to post this hand anyway, I was wondering if maybe I made a mistake here (on the turn). I think it qualifies for this, or do you mean that they have to bet-fold any street?

Villain is pretty LAGgy 36/15/1.6

i get the feeling that the situations OP is looking for don't involve hero having the nuts.

This hand meets my criteria, so the question becomes: Is Hero better off calling or raising in this spot?

Challenge Status: 9 more qualifying posts before I start handing out money. KingOtter has a chance at $20!!!

This isn't true. Flopping the nuts and having your opponents fold before the river would make a great example, so long as they played back and folded on the same street. His post doesn't meet the requirements for other reasons.

Hero is better off raising because it`s a big pot, multi-way situation, the board is very drawy, and there are 3 overcards to hero`s overpair. This will happen sometimes that everyone folds.
