its only collusion if someone checks behind the nuts.I do think Sammy genuinely gave him a break here though. When he asked to run last hand for 28k instead of 150k, Jamie declined, and Sammy was pretty upset afterwards when he had to chop, ie no collusion. I can't wait for Jamie to be off this show and hope his little act is not back again. He will be broke soon if he keeps playing these stakes in this lineup, took him maybe 40 hands to lose half his bankroll?, only to save 150 with that Jack on end.

Saying Sammy and Jamie are soft playing each other is dumb. Sammy took almost $200,000 off Jamie in the AA vs. KK hand. Then, Sammy called a huge overbet with QQ which could have busted Jamie. These two guys have been playing some of the biggest pots of the season against each other.

Sammy simply messed up the river in the AA hand.

Jamie was on level 1.

Sammy was on level 4 or 5 and confusing himself.

The standard play against Jamie still seems to work. Ask him what he has and he'll just tell you.

At that point he had to know Jamie had Kings. How he did not raise on the river makes no sense. I know we saw the cards so it is easy, but Jamie was clearly giving away what he got.

Another HSP episode ends with another multiple run hand.

These guys should all put on dresses when they play poker.

so i'm assuming this means you would like to run a 55/45 with 200k of your own money?

[/ QUOTE ]

If I was there to gamble and play poker yeah... I would not play stakes that I could not afford to lose or win. It is mega-super-hyper-insano lame.

In two words it is chicken S.

If they did not want to risk losing the money they should not have played the hand.

Sure, but could he have possibly taken any less? And have you ever heard as much anguished talk of being friends, liking each other, hurting one another, having a monster, etc. on a river in your life? It was absolutely ridiculous.

As for the QQ v T7 hand, Gold has said many times that his favorite hand in poker is a pair and draw, he is always going to play that super strong, and Sammy is almost never folding an overpair to Jamie.

Why would he even ask him to just play it out for the $28K before the all-in and call. I mean, wtf kind of off the wall suggestion is that? Would he ask Antonius, Barry or Doyle the same question? They did manage to run it twice as a virtual coinflip though.

FWIW I will concede that the T7 QQ hand doesn't exactly go along with my theory but I still would like to hear what you think if you watch the entire episode, or just the first hand, over keeping the possibilty in mind.

Yeah the comedic duo of Brunson and Greenstein will be performing soon at a casino near you. I bet it would be a sellout.

That's what Jamie is. Hollywood hype. How many times has he said "This will be good for the cameras"

Dynasty, perhaps you missed all the times Sammy asks his opponent if they want to split or chop the pot, like in the QQ vs T7 hand after a ton of money went in (the worst is that Gabe condones the idea--"anything on HSP!"). Since when is it legal or normal to take money out of a pot? Wtf is Sammy doing? It's just the grossest display of poker imaginable, and the influence of these Jamie/Sammy antics is becoming increasingly noticeable throughout live poker now and has begun to make this once-simple game quite unpleasant, weird and annoying.

Sammy's whole M.O. seems to be to softplay and do as little actual gambling as possible. I think all he cares about is schmoozing and how cool he looks in front of the camera. And he might look cool, but the way he plays poker is pathetic. And Jamie Gold is the Antichrist of poker etiquette.
