I think OP is somewhat annoyed by the COL fans, particularly in this forum, acting as if COL is the greatest team this year and rarely wanting to account for catching A LOT of breaks.

[/ QUOTE ]

Fine, but speaking of breaks, the Diamondbacks outperformed their expectation by 11 games this year and were 12 games over .500 in one-run games.

It is also annoying hearing about the "winning of 18/19" streak.

Craig,

I like most of your posts, but I think you're a little off here. Their finish to the season was pretty epic and noteworthy. Made for an awesome home stretch.

f all that math. Just 3 words explain how lucky they are: "negative run differential".

At least they sell out playoff games, can't say the same thing about the Diamondbacks.

[/ QUOTE ]

Yea, we didn't sell what, a thousand tickets out of fifty thousand? So the Rockies fans are so much better because they actually bought those last thousand tickets?

And no diamondbacks fans threw any bottles on the field. Those bottles were thrown by Rockies fans in a conspiracy to make our fans look bad. If you slow the replay down you can actually see the play was precipitated by Matsui attempting to decapitate Upton with a flying scissors kick commonly used in japanese baseball by ninja trained middle infielders. I have all this on good authority from Oliver Stone's call in show.

Cat, I think you're way off on this. They may not be the greatest fans in the world, but at least they're showing civic pride now that someone representing them is doing soemthing that puts the town in a positive light.

QFT

I mean, what the hell, we're supposed to sell out every game for the past 10 years with a .450 winning %?

If the Sox or Yankees had a .450 winning % for 10 years things may be different for them too.....

It's the law of sports man, win, and fans come, lose, they leave

Definitely worth it's own thread

And also, yes, game 2 isn't even sold out yet and games 3 and 4 were sold out three days ago.
