Re: Last party session, 30/60 high
7CS4AP advocates limping late with big pairs, for whatever that's worth.
I like the way you played this one. I think that a check on the river is in order. |

Re: Last party session, 30/60 high
I like your play alot here.
You don't have a huge edge 3-way with just Jacks, so you don't lose alot of value by just calling. You only worry about the BI coming along. Calling may give you a bit of deception, and it keeps the hand from turning into the OK Corral [ QUOTE ] - on 4th I think my raise could be flawed, given our boards the other two players are going to either fold regardless or call regardless of whether I raise, right? [/ QUOTE ] I think this logic is wrong. You don't want a hand like 55QK to come along for just 1 bet. You also don't want a hand like 4332 to come along for one bet. The only way raising 4th could be bad is if seat 1 or 3 would make a bad peel with a hand like 775K (no flush) I also think raising 4th is good because it will allow you to avoid overplaying your Jacks if you get a surprise cold call. Good hand (I was gonna say chk the river) |

Re: Last party session, 30/60 high
If you aren't going to get anyone out raising third is pointless.
4th is perfect. It is the reason why you didn't raise on third. 5th and 6th right. 7th. Bet and hope to get paid by one pair or two baby pair. I would pay off a raise too. |

Re: Last party session, 30/60 high
I like the way you played the hand, and I think checking the river is best here. When he calls 6th it means he probably has some kind of draw. As far as 3rd street is concerned, I think raising is best. If there had been 1 more limper I'd limp just like you did, but the raise will likely get the hand 3 way which is fine for your deadish jacks. Also, it helps that one of the limpers has a jack and wasn't a folder, because his hand is much less likely to improve too.
