I PM'd Collin Moshman asking if he would respond to this thread and he said he would not.

I started this thread with the intent of clearing the air and giving him a chance to introduce himself and his qualifications. Instead, by his inaction, he has effectively said "screw off and buy my book."

I'll wait for Slim's review before I even consider purchasing a book by an unknown author who refuses to acknowledge the interests of the forum, and I would hope that most of you are are wise enough to do the same.

Eh I'll buy it just for the entertainment. I don't think a few veteran STTFers like me are going to make a big dent in sales either way.

I trust this forum to be able to evaluate the content of the book, and I fully expect to push up to the allowable limit as far as "posting copyrighted content." That being said, let's not get anyone's underpants all bunched up over this until the book actually comes out and there's something concrete to discuss. I'm done with this subject until then.

ditto. wp.

My feeling is that the STTF reaction is essentially the same as if a non-NASCAR driver published a book on how to race stock cars.

I will wait for Slim's review to the book before I buy it. Realistically, if it's fundamentally flawed it will be great for business.

all,

i let this thread stay up for amusement purposes for long enough.

this thread is repititious and kinda of annoying, and can be construed as at worst a character attack. it's kind of pointless.

so while i agree that it's kind of fishy that this guy hasn't told us anything about himself, and hasn't shown any track record or anything like that other than running pretty good on a smallish sample, i think it's time this is done.
