Default 300bbs deep against David Singer river play

5/10 PLO on FTP (plo forum sucks)

Singer is playing very laggy, and sticking it in pretty light, usually behind. He has built up his stack winning a couple 30/70s.

Hero:2900
Singer:4k

Folds to hero who completes in sb w/ A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (meh usually raise but w/e)

Singer raises to 30, Hero calls.

Flop 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

Hero checks, Singer bets 60, Hero raises to 240, Singer calls.

Turn: Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Hero bets 500, Singer calls

River: 10[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

Hero checks, Singer instantly presses the pot button to 1500ish, hero folds

???

Not sure about the river line, I felt really dirty after this hand. Is betting 800/folding to a push a better line?

Check/calling as opposed to check/folding?

I just gave him credit for a hand like 7910J w/spades but questioning it...plus I have a blocker.

you don't think he goes to war with that on he flop in a blind battle? (even this deep i know).

I'm not sure i like the fold given your intro info.

This is what I first thought when I read that in the OP.

I think that a bet/fold line is WAY better than check folding. I probably call this most of the time given history.

Yea, with the way he was playing there is a decent chance he would 3-bet me on the flop w/ a combo draw like J1097/wspades; not sure how much he was taking into acct. our stack sizes. Most of the time he was playing super aggro against 100bb stacks, him and I had not clashed yet.

He was making loose calls on flop/turn/river as well and playing bad in general so I guess its more likely he has something like J97x/no spade draw. Not sure how often he has a weak made hand+spade draw that he is now turning into a bluff. Also, he potted the river instantly.

Just kind of confused if I should be c/c, c/f, or b/f in this spot.

The more Laggy he's been playing the more likely he is to rr flop with some sort of combo draw. Also, if he's been not just a LAG but somewhat out of line, I'd go for a c/r on the turn. From your description it sounds like he's been out of line and a turn c/r sounds good.

c/c seems pretty standard on the river because there are enough draws that missed and he could just be waiting for any scare card while in position to take it away from you.

B/F is pretty horrible.

C/C or C/F

dont fold river, its an easy bluff for him to make.

and ya, betfold river is way worse, because he can bluff that too, and its even harder to call.
