Deepish 15/30 river bet
Effective stacks 6500. Villain seems like a decent TAG. You know the type. 4-handed.
I open UTG with KK, weird and not really good player calls, Villain squeezes to 400 in SB, BB folds, we both call. Flop 983 rainbow, 1250 in the pot. Villain bets 750, I call, other guy folds. Turn T puts two clubs up and I have Kc, 2750 in the pot. Checked through. River J, no flush, 2750 in the pot. Villain checks, I bet 2000. |

Re: Deepish 15/30 river bet
You likely have the best hand. He likely never calls with worse. The only real hand that beats you is JT and it's pretty friggin unlikely. I tink the bet is awful because it is neither a bluff or value bet.

Re: Deepish 15/30 river bet
Oh, I should mention that I hadn't seen him squeeze before and I put him on a real hand right away for some reason. This may or may not be an accurate read.

I like everything but river where I would check behind and have to pot shipped to me 90% of the time

well, you should get aces to fold. [/ QUOTE ] That's pretty much the only reason for the bet. |
