I guess this is why I am not a winning player - help with stupidity
Here is a couple of hands I played 10 minutes ago.
I think I have made a bunch of stupid decisions: Please judge Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.10/$0.25 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter) SB: $77.90 Hero (BB): $25.15 UTG: $32.90 MP: $25.05 CO: $22.80 BTN: $24.30 Preflop: Hero is dealt A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (6 Players) 4 folds, <font color="red">SB raises to $0.75</font>, Hero calls $0.50 Flop: ($1.50) K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players) <font color="red">SB bets $1.35</font>, Hero calls $1.35 Turn: ($4.20) A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players) <font color="red">SB bets $3.50</font>, Hero calls $3.50 River: ($11.20) Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players) <font color="red">SB bets $13.00</font>, Hero calls $13.00 Pot Size: $37.20 ($1.85 Rake) Villain: 60/17/4 Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.10/$0.25 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter) SB: $52.85 BB: $31.50 UTG: $37.75 Hero (MP): $23.95 CO: $24.50 BTN: $24.65 Preflop: Hero is dealt J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (6 Players) UTG folds, <font color="red">Hero raises to $0.75</font>, 2 folds, SB calls $0.65, BB folds Flop: ($1.75) 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players) <font color="red">SB bets $1.00</font>, Hero calls $1.00 Turn: ($3.75) 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players) <font color="red">SB bets $3.00</font>, Hero calls $3.00 River: ($9.75) 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players) <font color="red">SB bets $7.00</font>, Hero calls $7.00 Pot Size: $23.75 ($1.15 Rake) Villain: 36/14/2 I actually dont recall why I played those so passive. I usually run 14/12/5 Those are the two hands I lost most on. I think altogether it was 280 BB. I left out the hands I played right and suffered beats. God i suck so bad |

Re-raise this pre-flop against this villain.
Either fold or raise the flop. If you think he's got nothing you need to raise this, otherwise muck. As played call the river. You've got a lot of his hands beat. |

Hand #1: Re-raise preflop. Raise or fold on the flop, as played raise the turn. As played I fold the river. Losing half your stack when knowing nothing about where you stand really sucks.
Hand #2: I typically raise donkbets on the flop like this. If villain doesn't fold, you may buy a free river card. Calling the river is probably OK. |

Re: I guess this is why I am not a winning player - help with stupidity
hand 1 - most of the time I reraise pf, as played I fold flop unless villain is hyper aggressive and will fire three barrels on a bluff - that way you could have implied odds even with the gutshot
hand 2 - I fold turn, I would consider raising the flop donkbet but with this flop only rarely, there are too many draws to make villain fold any significant % of the time |

Hand 1, fold flop.
Hand 2 is pretty standard IMO. I sometimes raise the flop/turn. |

Re: I guess this is why I am not a winning player - help with stupidit
Hand 1 - if you aren't comfortable raising either preflop or flop against this villain just fold preflop. As played fold flop...as played on F/T, fold river.
Hand 2 - Horrible draw on the turn. The board is paired and 3-flush is on the board. There is no card in the deck that will make you comfortable on the river so implied odds are poor...fold turn. |
