65s facing 3-bet

Figure this flop is not too likely to have hit him so is semibluff raising a good move with position and my gutter + backdoor draw? Or just giver up? Also how about pf?

this is a fold preflop and a fold on the flop. you are not getting the correct implied odds to call a reraise with a small suited connector, and making plays at a pot with a gutshot with dirty outs is not a profitable play.

pf is a little loose..but whatever...if you think you can take it away alot then go for it.

I would just call here...its a pretty easy float. If you raise you are probably only folding out air.

If he checks the turn then bet. if he bets again just muck.

Don't mind the CO raise, but fold to BB's 3bet preflop.

Either call the flop and bet turn, or fold to his flop bet.

Thought a lot of value in NL came from stacking opponents with positive implied odds hands. And here we both have over 100BB so is pf really that bad?

And regarding the reraise. I'm getting 2.3:1 on the call. If villain 3-bets 88+,AJs+,AQo+ I have about 30% equity. And that should mean the call is about break even? Am I doing something wrong here in my thinking?

With the odds he's giving you i call preflop ALL day. Given this flop its a pretty easy fold

Yea I guess Im loose but I generally call the 3 bet here as well. If the villain is decent he will never expect us to have the hand we do, so when the flop comes A56 you can take his stack. Add in the times when you can float and take it away and I like it.

Yeah, I don't mind calling preflop when he makes such a small 3-bet. On the flop I would often float, sometimes raise and sometimes fold, depending on villain. Any read/stats on villain?

I agree. If he raised smaller we could call, but you're just not gonna flop a big enough draw and stack him every time (remember you still need to hit the draw). Sometimes he'll have AK when we flop an OESD and we'll win a small pot, or other times we'll have a flush draw and he'll have a higher one.. it just gets us in a lot of spots where we're probably 0EV at best and you're mostly just throwing 2.25 away.
