Do I have to send in my jury information form?
I got a letter from the State of New York asking me where I was living, and my phone number, etc, so I could be called on for jury duty.
Do I have to actually fill this out? I go to school in Philadelphia, not in NY, but I am still a resident of NY. I figured you guys generally know what things we don't have to do just because the state says to, so do I have to mail this form in? |

Re: Do I have to send in my jury information form?
Just send it in in case it's against the law. If you get called on for jury duity, start talking about all those GD negroes/jews/mexicans/whatever that are ruining the country. You'll get dismissed right away amirite?

I still prefer the Homer Simpson method:
"The key is to say you're prejudiced against all races." |

Also tell them you have no problem with the concept of jury nullification. You'll never get selected to be on the jury. Ever. natedogg |

The second time I am called I have to go. Obviously I wouldn't be able to commute back and forth from Philly to Long Island to serve on a jury for a week or something. And yes, this isn't a request for me to serve, its a request for me to give them information so in the future they can ask me to serve. I am, however, fairly certain that in the preface to the document it said "you are required by law to fill out this form". Although I don't think it said anything about sending it in...(It's in a sealed envelope now) |

Seriously? I was told by a friend that you can only be excused once, and then after that you have to go. Incorrect was she?

Re: Do I have to send in my jury information form?
I was called for jury duty in New York last winter, and being a student at a college in Pennsylvania was was not enough to get me out of it. They made me postpone it until the summer.
