5/10 FT a bluff versus BalugaWhale
I have just recently moved up to these games and am working out a lot of kinks in my game. I have played a good amount of poker with Baluga and although he respects my play he defiantely will call me light when he believes I am bluffing. Generally I try not to bluff him too much. I did not like my play in this hand.
Hand History is on a different computer 1000 effective stacks 5/10 NL Baluga is UTG+1 I am in BB Baluga opens to 35 I repop to 135 with 45cc He calls (I feel his range is reasonably wide here and contains a lot of midpairs) Flop: (pot 272) J8Jdd I lead for 200 He calls Turn A (does not complete flush) I shove |

I like it.. Like you said his range includes a lot of midpairs, which he will have a hard time calling with. Would he float you on the flop with AQ/AK?

jared,
i would make this play if you actually hit the ace, since he's pretty likely to believe you're bluffing here and won't fold something like TT nearly as often as you'd like. |

[/ QUOTE ] Ya this shove is good if you usually play pretty agressively and/or he has seen you shove in this spot before when you have actually hit the A or K. Along the same lines as what Jay said tho, the first time I do this I'd like to actually have an A here before I do it as a bluff. |
