samjjjjjjones -
We saw After the Sunset and thought it was beyond terrible. Maybe it's okay to some people here for the 'killing time and just chilling' purposes mentioned in this thread. But I wanted my 90 minutes back. Thought it was really bad. GF and I use it to describe degree of suckitude of other movies we see. - "Well, it wasn't great...but at least it wasn't After the Sunset." - "Wow, that was almost as bad as After the Sunset." Only redeeming quality, of course, was gawking at Hayek. |

Re: help people avoid bad movies (and watch good ones)
I hate romantic comedies but I thought the break-up was decent for what it is. Maybe I'm a sucker for the anti-hollywood ending and Jens pooper.
Bubba ho-tep must see. National treasure- Campy fun + extreme hottie. Capote- very good This film is not yet rated- Kirby Dick needs to relax, self important f-bag The bridge OTOH was a pretty good docu |

[/ QUOTE ] Unbreakable =/= Invincible, though the former is the only M. Night Shymalan movie that didn't completely and irredeemably blow. Coming out on DVD soon, I would massively recommend "Black Snake Moan". "Fracture" may still be in theatres, but it was a very quality suspense-drama, Greg Hoblit knows how to bring it. (Also female lead ZOMG hot). "The Namesake" is like an Indian-America version of "Avalon", and that's a good thing, BTW. |

Re: help people avoid bad movies (and watch good ones)
There is not nearly enough love in this thread for Kiss Kiss Bang Bang , one of the most entertaining movies I've seen in a long time.
Into the Blue has some fantastic unintentional comedy however the Alba/Walker double team is pretty much unwatchable. Any movie where Scott Cann is by far the biggest talent has some serious problems. The Break Up is the least entertaining movie I have seen in a theatre in the past half decade. Nothing redeeming about it other than the half nude Anniston shot. |

To fall in love w/ Hathaway you should watch Havoc, which is just a horrible movie, but holy cow is she hot in that. [/ QUOTE ] Best part about "Havoc" is you can turn it off after the first 5 minutes and feel satisfied. |

I thought some of the Woody/Brosnan exchanges were okay, and Salma was hot. Did you guys actually pay to see it in the theater? I'd probably feel differently if I did. |
