Default ($77s): 84o, should I play some cash?

Maybe I need to play some cash games if this is the stuff I feel like doing, but anyway...

The following play has nothing to do with my cards obviously. This play is based 100% on this:

Villain: hey lake what did u have on that earlier hand'
DevinLake: lol
Villain: come on lake
DevinLake: only one way to find out
Villain: lake ive seen u play and your good
Villain: tight agressive in my player notes
Villain: overall solid player
DevinLake: then u should have a pretty good idea what I had
Villain: no idea
DevinLake: had ur AJ beat
Villain: q-j

So, does everyone hate this?

As much as I'm a DL fanboy, I do hate this -- only because of the chat. That chat leads me to think that he's more likely to call you down and try to play you off a hand in a competative way. You also have 84o. This is the kind of situation where I'd want to be aggressive with a hand I'm be more likely to play slower -- not aggressive with a worse hand. My $0.02.

It really sucks if he calls. I really didn't think we'd even see a flop.

However, if he does just call I'm obviously in trouble. I'd shut it down unless a Q+ comes on the turn. If a Q+ comes on the turn, I'm much more likely to get him to fold some medium pairs, which I think he most likely has if he calls my flop bet. If he has the AK/AQ hands I'm trying to represent then I'm sure I'll find out real quick.

Wait, the chat isn't about this hand is it? B/c there is no way I'm folding to a flop bet from you in some random blind battle with QJ on this board.

That's ridiculous.

Btw, nice pre raise fish, .

(but yeah I doubt it's very profitable but maybe if you're in his head so badly it's fine)

I don't like the PF raise even w/ your chat factored in. As played, I would lead the flop also.

I like your occasional non-ABC poker creativity Devin. Nice "action limp" in our last tournament by the way...

Clearly his plan is to turn an 8 or 4.
