10nl: Valuebet river in blind battle?
Just sat down at the table so no real reads. I think i should have 3bet preflop though. Thoughts on all streets.
Stacks are 100bbs effective. Preflop: 4 folds, sb raises to $.30, hero (bb) calls with A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]10 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Flop: 10 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]3 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] sb bets $.60, hero calls Turn: 5 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] sb bets $1.50, hero calls River: 3 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] sb checks, hero? |

Pf is fine for me, i don't like 3betting ATo.
I check behind river, because if he folds, who cares, you would have won anyway, and I think readless most villians will not pay off three streets of value with worse hands. You will get called by two pairs, 3's, maybe KT or QT but nothing else. The majority of times he calls you, you lose i think. check. |

I would check behind as well, as there are no reads on villain. With a one-pair hand that's beaten by a lot, check behind and note what he had and how he played it for future reference.

Re: 10nl: Valuebet river in blind battle?
I think you're off-base.
Random uNL players do not steal from the SB, their raising range is barely wider than a button raise. You're ahead of that range by a little bit, and in position. I flat call here the way I might flat call AK on the button- for deception, to keep the pot small. Let him make a bigger post-flop mistake with whatever crappy hand he has instead of a marginally bad preflop call. |
