story: long term gf says that when she takes the pill it makes her feel super out of whack and it significantly lowers her sex drive. she recently tried the "newest" and most mild pill for a month and it made her pretty unhappy.

as is we go back and forth between condoms and just playing with fire (yes, stupid, whatever we're both clean, and in a LTR). i despise condoms because they feel horrible and i love the wonderful feeling of the vagine.

does anyone use anything else? has anyone here used (or had their gf use) an IUD or IUS? The side effects of the Depo shot seem pretty [censored] up and unfair to put the gf through. What about diaphragms, female condoms, sponge, rings, etc?

Im basically looking for any first hand stories of BC besides condoms or the pill as those two seem to be the only things i here of anyone using nowadays.

I banged a chick a couple weeks ago that uses that supernova ring, or something, i forget what she called it, she said its great because you dont need to worry about it much like you have to with the pill.

Nuva ring i think. i think you jam it up there and it dissolves slowly. try ortho-evra (the patch)

The Nuva ring doesn't dissolve, heh. You insert in the snatch right after your period or whatever, then you keep it in for three weeks or so, and your body slowly absorbs the hormones on it. Then you take it out and toss it. While it removes the worries and complications of taking lots of pills or patches etc. it's still hormone based, and the girl still might experience mood swings and all that crazy girl stuff, just as with the pill.

Um...Aren't the hormones in the patch, the pill, and the NuvaRing all pretty much the same?

Anyway, I don't know what the solution for you guys is, but if the pill doesn't work, I don't think the patch or ring are gonna do it.
