Re: tunica question
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] There is a $40 shuttle, but I can't remember the name of it. That's $40 round trip. [/ QUOTE ] i wish you could remember the name. i was quoted $75 for one-way (tunica to memphis), ONE PERSON. i was going to stay longer by myself, so i got a quote. this was from unique travel, which is touted by the gold strike front desk. [/ QUOTE ] Unique is who I used. I couldn't believe the outrageous price they quoted me. I got in late at night (11:00pm) and NOBODY wanted to pick me up. I finally talked the guy at Unique into picking me up when I assured him that I would be there and I had the cash. There has to be an employee of one of the casinos who posts here. They would know the name of the shuttle. I have it written down somewhere, but I'd have to dig through tons of stuff to find it. You could try calling the Horseshoe switchboard and see if they know. Ask them about the employee shuttle that stops out front--it's not really an employee shuttle, but most of their customers work in the casinos. |

Re: tunica question
Kind of funny how that works. They'll give you a #30 meal but not spend the cash on HS net.

Re: tunica question
Forgot about that aspect.
Oops. I think the Grand hotels have hi-speed but you have to pay $10/day for it. People like you and I should complain to the Gold Strike about it. It's 2007 afterall. It's not exactly like that place is a dump. Not as nice as it could be...but on the phone they brag that they are "the tallest inhabited building in the state of Mississippi!!!!" So, time to get wi-fi M-F'ers!!!!!!! Granny - most people think the Horseshoe buffet is the better of the two. Not sure which one has the better Friday-night lobster/seafood buffet though. Horseshoe's Friday-seafood thingee is pretty good too (but at the gold-strike I guess you can't beat 'free') |

The Horseshoe has wireless in-room access for 10.95 per day. I am on it right now :-).
