i played a couple of $1 turbo's last night while i was trying to get pahud to work. so in one of them i basically fold the first 15 hands. then i announce to the table that i have to go and that i will be going allin preflop every hand. so i proceed to go allin preflop for the next 50 hands and win the tournament.

funny part, there where times when the sb would complete and fold to my push and times when the button would limp and then fold to my push. go figure...

[/ QUOTE ]

so there are some terrible players in these $1 tournies? you sure its not just a sample size issue?

Homniq,
Pretty normal development as a poker player/change of pace.

TE,
Little Johns example us much worse imo, but the rebuy thing is really funny too.

Barry Bonds broke Hank Aaron's career home run record. But since he is known to/strongly suspected have used steroids there is debate about putting an asterisk next to his record. This was originally done when Babe Ruth's home run record was broken to acknowledge that the record was broken in a season with significantly more games than the one Ruth set his record in.

Its pretty obvious the roids effected him too. He averaged something like one homer per 16 at bats for the first part of his career, then late in his career it jumped to one homer per 6 or 8 at bats (not sure of exact #s, but it was absurd).

More than anything steroids kept him strong and able to bounce back from injury well past the age where his father's numbers started to decline rapidly (36 or so).
