Massive wrap, push the flop?
I am playing pretty loose. Very loose preflop but I don't really get out of line on the flop. I thought if I could get them both allin then it would be a +ev situation.
Both of these players are complete donks CONVERTER IS [censored] - I CALL THE ALLIN ON THE FLOP AND SO DO THEY Ultimate Bet Pot-Limit Omaha High, $.50 BB (5 handed) internettexasholdem.com saw flop|saw showdown MP ($15.10) Button ($37.85) SB ($76.65) Full Metal ($41.50) UTG ($42.45) Preflop: Full Metal is BB with 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. Re: Massive wrap, push the flop?
Well I definitely wouldn't fold. I would push but there is a case for calling, folding is bad.

Re: Massive wrap, push the flop?
If you're going to fold this hand on this flop you might as well fold preflop and save yourself the $1. If the guy has a set, you're winning, if he has a wrap, you (probably) have a better one. The only thing youre losing to is something like 4457. You are even ahead of 789J even though he has a redraw.

Re: Massive wrap, push the flop?
I don't say this too often, but not getting all-in on this flop - esp vs the kinds of players you describe - would be criminal.
By getting all-in on the flop, you're putting in between ~35.7 and ~40.2% of the pot (depending on whether MP folds, which he probably won't with only $10 left and getting like 2.8:1). You certainly have at least this much equity. Just calling the flop puts you in too many sticky situations when the turn blanks. You want/need to see 2 more cards here. Tom |

[/ QUOTE ] In addition to what everyone else has said, your main goal with this type of hand is to get as much of everyone else's money into the middle as possible. (Of course your money is going in as fast as possible.) This is perhaps the best flop for your hand. I would say that unless you are playing against total aggressive maniacs, this flop is more +EV than a flop of 666. |

Re: Massive wrap, push the flop?
I didn't notice the edit. I shove anyway, the idea of calling is so you can escape if the board pairs on the turn.
(Obviously if a blank comes you still are priced in to call). But you can't be sure the guy has a set so just shove now. |
