I'd check/raise the flop. He might fold 99/88, and you're a favorite currently.

Turn isn't really that great. You're only beating KK/QQ, and 99/88 will fold if you bet. Check/call is good.

Against that player, I cap this preflop.

Bet/3-bet the flop and happily call a cap.

Bet/call the turn.

River the 2 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] and get 4 bets in there.

Since you didn't, easy C/R. You have so many outs right now if you're behind (which you may not be) it's not even funny.

I could say lead this turn, but as played go through with the check-raise. Without knowing the villian's stats or any read, I might check-call this turn because as sharpie pointed out, you aren't beating many legitemately 3-betted (PF) hands.
