After thinking about it, my winrate is 11 per hour, but the game I play in is a 100 max game which means smaller stacks (sometimes)...the worst players just play multiple times with 100 stacks as opposesd to a couple with 200 or 300 stacks. We also paid 12 bucks an hour time, which makes my bad streaks worse compared to a rake.
I bet a 200 max or 300 max game, the potential winrate is definitely higher..plus, i played bad alot of the time. Id bet 15 is def. legit.

Paying $12 an hour for a 1-2 is ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS! Hell, paying $10 an hour is bad for the majority of players.

To clarify B&M strategy is really the same as online strategy. They key is knowing how to adjust to the conditions of the table regardless of limit, location, or the size of the average pot/pre flop raise. Thats what I hope Matt comes back to discuss, he is more qualified than most to communicate these concepts.

Tell me about it. I went to Vegas though, and came back and we now pay rake so it has improved! Now when I lose, I dont have to pay time on top!

I really dont think it is the same as online strategy at all. Especially, playing small stakes. Here, the play gets much more aggressive and top pair and two pair hands are much stronger played hands. If you're folding your two pairs like you would rightfully so online, youd be nuts. Youll have guys playing top pair ten kicker hard as hell live. Also, tells come into play so much more its unbeilievable. One great example, sometimes you'll c-bet the flop for 15, and you can see the caller is grudgingly putting their chips in. Right there, you know the turn is 40 regardless.
It is also limit dependent...100 max in Indiana plays much different than 300 max in Vegas.
I think it would be a great thread and would love to hear how others play live!

I'm pretty sure that what TT is getting at is that the concepts that you use to form strategy are the same, whether you play online or live. More specifically, the concepts you use to adjust your play based on your opposition, stack sizes, and other elements of the texture of the table are the same. You have flaws if you follow a cookbook strategy that has a certain recipe for playing online and another for playing B&M.
