Default NL100 : Overpair against Flop Aggression

Converter messed this up so it's not going to be perfect ... sometimes I reraise out of the blinds with this, sometimes I don't ... my read on the BB was that he was a bit of a donk and had made this donk bet into the preflop raiser before and the preflop raiser folded ... after he folded I made this weird check raise to see if I could take it down there ... his next move surprised me ... thoughts?

Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $1 BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

BB ($101.50)
UTG ($20)
MP ($69.50)
CO ($236.30)
Button ($122.15)
Hero ($147.85)

Preflop: Hero is SB with T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
1 fold, CO raises to $3.5, 1 fold, Hero calls $3, BB calls $2.50.

Flop: ($10.50) 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players), Hero checks, BB bets $8, CO folds, Hero raises to $16, BB raises to $58.50, Hero?

Don't CR unless you're comfortable with calling a shove. And never MIN-checkraise. What were you thinking when you pulled it? Curious. And I 3-bet a CO raise with this everytime.

I fold this, he either has u beat or have some strong draw.
I doubt he do this with sth like a9, even tho your raise is weak.

edit: 3-bet pf

If you check-raise in order to "take id down right there" then you are essentially bluffing. I don't know why you would want to bluff with a decent overpair here which has showdown value.

I 3-bet pf here all day. Given that you didn't I think you should just c/r the pot on the flop...definitely DO NOT MIN-CHECKRAISE!!! Hopefully he'll go with his top pair or flush draw and you can get it in. If he's a donk you shouldn't mind getting all the money in here with your overpair.

Alrighty, I like this advice ... I folded and he showed 6d8d for the massive draw but I would've been 53/47 ...

We're usually pretty comfortable with sticking it in on the flop with our overpair in this situation?
