imo flop bet is a waste of a bet on that flop. i don't think there's value there; you'll also get raised here a ton by his range. i rather start by c/c and treating this as wa/wb.

im betting any 2 cards here that I 3 bet and I think theres plenty of value in a bet.

nina there is def value in a bet. were ahead here a lot of the time and we often have villain dominated. robin this is most definitely not a wa/wb situation, I refer you to the post I recently linked to in the LC thread

I b/c here because I don't want to fold here vs unknowns and I think there is more value in b/c then there is in c/c. I like a c/r when you can fold to a 3bet but without reads I don't think you can.

sure you'll get effective value from KJ and A9 and the like but thats about it. everything else, pairs, smallish/mid pocket pairs, open enders like K6, ten outers like JT, and combo draws like overcard[s] plus flushdraw have you making zilch.

assuming about 30% opening range on the button, and excluding some of his capping range since he didn't cap, his button range vs your hand is actually very close equity wise on this flop. take into the account the times he'll steal this pot because of his pos with a well timed semibluff, or with a bluff bet on the turn or river when you don't improve, and i like the lead less and less.

whether we like it or not, he's in the driver seat this hand with his range on that flop with his pos, so i let him do the driving from the onset.

i said i treat it as a wa/wb, not that it actually is wa/wb. this spot is very tricky as i posted above, hence i play it very defensively from the start as i do wa/wb.
