from watching live sports:

the singing of "Take Me Out To The Ballgame"

The rising clamor of the crowd, the sound of hooves coming around the last turn and stampeding down the stretch - especially if you're on the ground level next to the track

The swishing/thwacking sound you hear when watching a live hockey game...


from playing:

the golf ball landing with a polite thud on the green, nestling close to the hole

The sliding sneakers on green clay during a tennis match
