Hero ???

Villains stats: 24/4/1 (70 hands), no other reads
I'm running at 25/20

With full stacks I bet here, but villains short stack makes it more difficult.

I don't want to give a free card, so I guess this is a bet/call.

Why? I'm more inclined to check with full stacks, because if Villain has the flush and bets I often have the odds to draw to a boat. Against a short stack donk I just bet and hope he has some other silly hand, which is usually the case.

Because their range is much wider than just the flush.

I don't want hands like 88,TT or AK with a spade to draw for free.

Pete,
this seems like an obvious bet, and to be worried about either the flush or (extremely unlikely) straight seems MUBSish. I'd bet 40 or 45 here.
