if you are FH with 55 preflop, do you call your re-raise or do you fold? if you call (and I would) that indicates that calling is +EV. that indicates that your re-raise is too small (and it is). Postflop I would check. If you're ahead, he probably has 2 outs at most, and if you're behind, you want your free shot at your 4-6 outer.

I would re-raise to 175 or so. And obviously he will have a wide range to open in MP. He will have a narrower range to call a re-raise with, though, mostly consisting of pocket pairs.

Re-raising to 175 is nuts. If FH makes this play with 55 - more power to him. How hard is it for Hero to have himself a set here? Results-oriented thinking at its best. His raise is pot-sized - what is wrong with a PSRR? So FH calls with a pocket pair OOP - great, we want him to call with that.

Nice fold - bet less on flop.

You're odds are about 1:2 and with that board, I can see him doing it with open or flush draw or one pair + draw kinda hand, especially when you've been reraising him PF. I think it's a close one.

FH is a good solid guy. Did he change his sn from before? Haven't seen him around much.

This is commonly thought but wrong.

No.

The implied odds that it gives. What is good about a PSRR?

No, we don't since a call there with 55 is +EV for set value alone. FTOP says that we don't want out opponents to make +EV plays.

[ QUOTE ]
Nice fold - bet less on flop.

[/ QUOTE ]
What is the advantage of betting the flop?

Reraising to $175 seems like a fantastic way to never get action with kings. I don't think I would ever check the flop here.

I think this was played fine.

TWP, dont play like such a girl. raising to 175 is scared poker.

arguing that the raise is too smal because calling 135 with 55 is +ev is retarded too. so if we're playing with 1 million behind, i have to raise from $35 to $150,000 with big pairs? your logic is always so bad it hurts.
