Default NL50: TPTK deep vs. aggression from TAG, line-check

Villain is 22/16/9 over 80 hands. please notice that we're nearly 200bb deep. his 3bet-range is 7%, but of course the samplesize is really small. but i think he would 3bet here with AQ most of the time and with AK nearly all the time.

I muck turn. If you are beat you are prob drawing dead and he lead for about pot which screams strength. River is obv fold.

Edit: Thought pot was smaller, 12 does seem like a small bet it looks suspiciously like a please call me bet. I am folding this turn pretty much all the time without reads/history.

Also now that I think about it stack sizes seem like 4 betting the flop would be ok. Fold to RR.

i think he has either small pp (and hit set on flop) or with a AF of 9 (seems he'd be more aggressive, right?), as it seems, practically 3 bet your flop bet and then hit his flush... in your small sample did you notice or catch if he had in fact reraised flop with a draw? i'm actually thinking he might have hit a small set on the flop, 3 betting the flop then coming out on the turn with a 60% pot sized bet when the flush hit

mucking the turn would have been better but atleast you laid down the river

Presumably the only hands he's beating you with on the flop are 77 and 22, maybe JJ. Considering that villain is *really* aggressive, his check-raising range includes flush draws, straight draws, and probably a lot of other stuff you beat. I might 3-bet the relatively dry flop and pot control turn and river. Depending on if I feel that villain is as bat-[censored] aggro as his AF suggests (albeit over a small sample size) then I might call a flop shove.

so you want to play a 400bb pot with TPTK against a reasonable opponent? or you 3bet and fold to a 4bet/shove?

i think my flopline is fine here.

If this was directed at me. I can see a 3 bet on the flop and folding to a shove. If he calls 3 bet cold then I am shutting down on basically any non J turn.

why did you call the turn then fold on the river when an absolute blank fell and he bet out about the same percentage of pot? Were you hoping you could get a free showdown when he c/r flop, bet turn, and has that high of aggression? I'm really just wondering. You were probably right, but I would've folded turn, you're probably beat on flop except for draws...which then probably hit on the turn. I think your flop play is fine, he could be drawing and you have position.

We just got raised on the flop with villain (presumably) either being on a [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]draw, or having a set. That being said, what's our line if the J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] hits on the turn?
