Default 2/4 - 3bet AK flops TOP TOP

Villain is the same 30/20/2 (1200 mined hands) multitabler than on this JJ hand, where I stacked his KK.

No other history than that one hand, and that's the only big pot either of us has played at the table.

Hero ($884)
UTG ($422)
MP ($440.50)
Button ($580.30)
SB ($399.66)

Preflop: Hero is BB with K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
3 folds, SB raises to $16, Hero raises to $48, SB calls $32.

Flop: ($96) 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
SB checks, Hero checks.

Turn: ($96) 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $66, SB calls $66.

River: ($228) 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
SB bets $144, Hero calls $144.

I guess my flop play (besides too small 3-bet I'm aware of) is the one to discuss about.

I save it mostly on dry boards, but sometimes I do it on flops like this. Like? Hate?

Why the )%¤()%¤() are you giving him a card on the flop? You will get action from this guy with a flop bet ALOT!

I end the debate about who has a better hand on the flop. 3/4 pot the flop and play accordingly.

Based on the way you played it, I'd c/c turn and reevaluate the river. 3-bet was fine PF but I think you butchered it post flop.

To get two streets of value from mid-pairs.

Sorry. Man, that's twice I've misread the HH recently! What I meant to say was check the turn based on the way you played it and reevaluate the river.

I just think it's a little thin to begin the betting on the turn. I see so many people check their TPTK on the flop only to be fuked by the time the turn comes. Either bet out every street and react to your opp.; bet out on later streets (having checked flop) on uber -dry boards (if there is such a thing!); or check or call turn and river (again, if flop was checked)

Play TPTK exactly for what it is. A good hand but can't stand a great deal of heat particularly when all 5 streets are on the table.

You get 2 streets anyway without easy cards if he's that type of opponent. Bet flop check behind turn call riv.
