Default Does anyone use a gamepad?

I'm 12 tabling sngs and I was wondering if anyone has used a gamepad to make things easier? If you have do you have any pointers on how i could go about doing this. Thanks.

Have a look at AutoHotKey, and map Joy1 or Joy2 or whatever to mouse movements, or key presses (for PokerRoom.com).

Does a gamepad really make things that much easier?

If so, then how? (probably hard to describe, but try to enlighten me if you could).

I don't know if I have ever even touched one (not one of the more modern ones anyway) and would certainly have no clue how to hook it up to the computer to be functional with the poker sites.
But if it really is 'all that' I might look into it.

I think it'd be a more realistic idea for a limit player.

[/ QUOTE ]I definitely find it much more comfortable to hold a light gamepad in my hands than keep my right wrist planted on the desk. There are bunches of people who can't use a mouse for more than a couple hours. I'm not one of those; I just find it more comfortable.

It's also dramatically faster. Mousing from table to table, hitting the precise action button, is way slower than hitting "Right" then "bet". Physical buttons >> digital buttons.

KSOT's right that it's easier for a limit player than NL. TableNavigator (written by a bunch of folk in the Software forum) does really well, though, using those controllers with 2 directionpads for seperate table-selection and bet-selection. But mostly TN is nice for navigation between tables quickly.

You can find gamepads for super cheap. Check it out, if you're interested.
