Ok thanks guys.

Smallish bet size awoke my inner station [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img] and I called. I was pretty sure to see either AQ, a set or busted straight draw but he showed AA to take it down.

not sure exactly how often youre good vs his villains range by the river (i think its very often fwiw), but folding here with the best hand is a WAY bigger mistake than calling with a worse hand.


sometimes jsut shove river but this hand looks pretty standard otherwise

I would shove river but this hand looks ok otherwise

Smaller bet on turn would have delivered same info... Split your turn bet on the turn and river and get there for same price.

Honestly looks like you got backdoored by either 89 clubs J9 clubs, or K10 clubs.

You would think he'd check down most Qs since it has showdown value and a guy of this caliber isn't likely going for a thin value bet with KQ/AQ.

I just read the results and though I was off this would be a really stupid spot to bluff, especially with his bet sizing. The best you can really hope for is KQ for a chop.
