Hi,

It's fine I think. He didn't minraise though.
I'm not sure what you're asking on the flop? Easy all in. |

I'm just asking if it's ok to call a PSB (well not exactly but assume the 320 behind are going in the middle anyway) with a flush draw + 2 overs.

You're getting 2-1 and have like 50% equity against his range. Easy call. If you both doubled your stacks it'd be an easy shove.

If your gonna call the flop bet you should have raised the rest of his chips on the flop with the flush draw and two overcards.Other than that it looks alright.

Re: $11 KQs on the button, reraised
BB minraises for 1/3 of his stack, when a push could certainly be in order... I think he has a pretty good hand.
Anyone consider a fold pre? If we call I think we need to get it in on this flop, but I am curious how tight his range has to be to make this -EV? Am I right in thinking that if we put him on QQ+ AK then we don't have the odds? What about JJ+... 1010+? |

Re: $11 KQs on the button, reraised
I agree, that I wouldn´t be confident as well with the min-raise (assumed that it comes from a thinking player). Villain gives us 3.2:1 which means that he should have a big pair here. If we assume Villain has JJ+,AKo we get the right odds to call, if we exclude JJ it already becomes -EV.
Another reason against playing this hand is that we are not destined to get any more money on the flop whereas it might well be that we lose our whole stack against AK/AA/KK/QQ. So the implied/reverse odds again speak against playing this hand. An argument FOR playing the hand naturally are the odds of 3.2:1 we´re getting - and I once read that one should never fold a hand when getting more than 2:1 preflop ... At least this is at a very high rate dependent from our reads on Villain. If we expect him to be a reasonable player I might fold my hand here, looking for better spots. If it is a donk who thinks that TT/AJ is good enough to min-raise what might be a steal-raise I would call ... |
