cardplayer is corrupt, their tournament online coverage is terrible, and their strategy articles consist of bad 15/30 limit players making goofy-ass plays.

bluff features legit strategy and more coverage on online play.

Who cares which one is less terrible? They both suck. I wouldn't read either of them if they paid me the cover price.

2+2 innanet magazine FTW.

I've got to admit I love Bluff Magazine because I have a feature article in this issue entitled Remembering Johnny Moss. It is similar to the Poker History series I have posted here on News,Views, Gossip.

I was very pleased with Bluff Magazine on the editing, layout, design, and pictures of Johnny Moss and pals, Benny Binion and Amarillo Slim.

I really like Card Player. They give it away in some small casinos in out of the way places. I like that.

I like Card Player. I love Bluff.

I was over at ESPN Radio.com last night listening to the latest (3/28/07) edition of Phil Gordons radio show, The Poker Edge. He interviewed Eric Morris the co-owner of Bluff Magazine.

Phil said a number of times that Bluff was the "best poker magazine on the market" and "best poker magazine in the industry." Are you kidding me?? Cardplayer is MUCH BETTER than Bluff.

[/ QUOTE ]

If he said it a number of times, it'd lead me to believe that he's endorsed by BLUFF magazine in some way. Maybe through advertising dollars? Or maybe he's just sucking up because he has the co-owner of Bluff in front of him. Bluff may have paid to have the interview in a way of advertising their mag.

Not sure of any mag owners that would do an interview that would paint them in bad light. Think 'infomercial.'

Bluff & ESPN are in bed together, and Gordon writes for both so he's gonna suck up to who pays him obv.

I like Nick had a subscription to all four and only have CardPlayer as of today and I may not renew it.

I just did some Spring cleaning recently and tossed CardPlayer mags from the past 3 years. I skimmed some of the older ones and imho the quality of CardPlayer is definitely going down hill. It's like it is turning into a Poker People Magazine and that does not interest me.

and so it goes, all the issue are like this. Even when they attempt to do a technical article the caliber is usually low and not even close to that of Cardplayer.
