Default 3/6 Kill Live No excuse for the PF Play!!

It's a kill pot I'm on the button.
Reads: Killer is SB (weak player) BB is preparing to fold. UTG is new player that just posted for the kill pot)

Hero 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Raises (I know, WTF?!?) Thought I could steal the blind and get UTG to fold.

SB calls.
UTG Raises! (uh-oh).

I call, yup I did it.
SB calls.

Flop (9.5 SB) 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
SB checks.
UTG bets.
I call.
SB fold.

Turn (5.5 BB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
UTG bets.
Hero raises.
UTG 3-bets.
Hero calls.

I knew where I stood in the hand and was needing some help on the river.

River (11.5 BB)
A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

Probably lots of criticism coming for this hand. But that's the only way to learn. So let's have it, please list my mistakes.

I don't hate the PRF/Call at all.

With the turn reraise, what do you put UTG on? I think that an overpair is way more likely than a set, straight, or better two pair. I'd cap the turn.

Assuming you capped the turn and he still led out when the A fell on the river, I would probably just call.

Eh? So we can put in more money with the worst hand? If villain has an overpair we have ~15 outs and need to hit to win. If villain has any of the other hands you mention, we have fewer outs.

FWIW, I have mixed feelings about the turn raise, but in general I doubt it actually does much for you.

Double eh??? Raise and call a 3-bet for sure. Cap if you're feeling frisky. We lose only to 64.

My fault - misread the OP. Thought we hit two pair on the flop. Ugh.

Preflop: Worth a shot. Just don't make a habit of it.

Flop: Perfect.

Turn: Why on earth are you raising? I have serious doubts that you ever have enough equity in the pot HU to make this raise profitable, and when UTG bets the turn he clearly has enough of a hand that he's never folding. Aside from hitting your river card, the best thing that's going to happen when you raise the turn is that he calls, check/calls the river, and you get to show a pair of threes & lose. There are cheaper & more effective ways to get a LAG table image.

River: Raise. 4bet if possible. 6bet if allowed. EDIT to add: tip the dealer handsomely.

Good point about the 3bet. Not enough equity. I was feeling frisky and I hadn't seen this fellow play so I thought maybe he'd fold.

Thanks for the advice.
